1988 - In the news 25 years ago: Meigs County residents age 55 and older would soon have an opportunity to enroll in a defensive driving retraining course. The class, 55 Alive Mature Driving, was designed to improve driving techniques and defensive driving habits, said Program Associate Coordinator Stanley Pettit. \"55 Alive Mature Driving is an innovative instruction class produced by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP),\" he said.
